The Company
Denise Cecere and Sandra McNaught, co-directors of Northeast School of Ballet, and a small group of arts patrons who wanted to preserve the art of dance for a diverse range of young dancers founded the Northeast Youth Ballet in 1996. Since then, the company has produced ballets for hundreds of girls and boys from more than 30 cities and towns in Northeastern Massachusetts.

The company provides an extraordinary chance for amateur dancers from elementary school through college to perform in a professional environment, regardless of their background or level of training. NYB's annual production of The Nutcracker and other full-length classical ballets, in addition to original works, have received rave reviews from local critics.
