Northeast Youth Ballet & You
Northeast Youth Ballet depends on the generosity of its sponsors to maintain and enhance its programs. It counts among its supporters more than 100 hardworking volunteers, many corporate and individual donors, the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Melrose Arts Council. But additional funds are needed in order to realize NYB's goals of
  • Enhancing community outreach through lectures and demonstrations.
  • Creating a youth mentoring program. Offering scholarships.
  • Creating new works. Inviting guest choreographers and artists.
  • Continuing an annual student-exchange program with other ballet companies around the country.
  • Stimulating volunteerism.
  • Continuing to offer reduced-price or complimentary admission for special groups.

NYB also recognizes the value of the performing arts as an integral component of the community. By staging professionally ballets at affordable prices, the company makes the arts accessible to people who might not otherwise be able to enjoy them. Through its STARS outreach program, NYB offers reduced or complimentary admission to special-needs groups, the elderly, the underprivileged, and local schools.
