Help us bring the Magic of The Nutcracker to France!

In 2015, NYB received an invitation from the artistic director of l’Atelier Des Arts De Raray, Lisa Kostur,  to participate in a Cultural Exchange Program in Raray, France.  Eleven talented young dancers from the Northeast School of Ballet (NSB), the official training school of Northeast Youth Ballet, took part in a magical cultural exchange program.. The dancers stayed and performed at The Chateau de Raray, a beautiful 17th century chateau, outside of Paris in the picturesque town of Raray.  Classical and contemporary works from the companies repertoire were performed to a warm and enthusiastic audience. NYB welcomed our French friends this past August 2016 to Boston during the second half of our exchange program. A wonderful artistic relationship has been formed.

It is an honor and privilege to have been invited to return and perform excerpts of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, at the Chateau de Raray! Artistic Director, Denise Cecere, with support from NYB’s board of directors, parents and generous donors are thrilled to be able to bring the magic of The Nutcracker to our friends in the village of Raray!

NYB’s Cultural Exchange Program began in 20 years ago in 1996 and was designed to broaden the education of young artists through travel. NSB Students who have been invited to participate have the opportunity to experience another culture, share their passion for dance, meet new friends, participate in workshops, art history lectures, rehearsals and perform for a new audience abroad.

Thank you for gift TODAY to support the dancers of tomorrow!
